feather. Along with this classic cocktail come the loveliest snacks with potato chips we just can't get enough of! When visiting the Ritz Bar, I always go for a vintage look like black velvet with jewels and hair to match.  The gals always bring their own glamorous looks as well, almost always wearing something amazing that was found on our trip.

Bar Hemingway is a new favorite.  After spending most nights at the Ritz Bar, we finally ventured to the other historic libation location within the Ritz Paris.  Rumored to be the birthplace of the Bloody Mary, a favorite of mine on a Sunday morning, this bar is done in leather and wood with a nod to its original esthetic and has an upscale adventurers feel.  By this point, I'm sure you've figured out who this bar in 1994 was named in honor of.  Originally known as the Petit Bar which opened in 1926 for women only for a short period of time, was rumored that Ernest Hemingway liberated the bar from the Germans Soldiers at the end of World War II  and celebrated by downing a ridiculous number of dry martinis! If you can find a seat it is a fantastic place to linger over what Hemingway chugged or try one of the other fantastic concoctions on Colin Peter Field's cocktail menu.

opportunity to wear your finest!

The Ritz Bar, located just inside their Rue Cambon entrance, is a glamorous spot decorated in dark red velvet, dark wood, with low lighting.  Every time I sit in one of the banquettes, I imagine the fabulous people who have sat there before me, the Fitzgeralds...Cole Porter... Coco Chanel. Sigh....A signature martini is my go-to and comes in a large, lovely martini coup, finished off with a beautiful

Hôtel Ritz Paris. Founded in 1898 is one of the most luxurious hotels in the world.  Once home to Coco Chanel for over thirty years (and located across the plaza from her original store) the Ritz has had history pass through its doors.  Surviving World Wars and serving guests the likes of literary historians and royalty, the palace its built within and the square it sits on are examples of classical architecture from the times of Louis XIV.

The Ritz is one of my favorite places to visit each time I am in Paris.  It has given my friends and I some of our favorite stories on our annual girls trip.  Whether attending the Grand Brunch on the weekend to taste all of the Parisian delicacies beautifully prepared by the culinary team or stopping in for drinks post dinner (be careful of pre-dinner drinks...you might not make it to your meal!) going to the Ritz is a luxury and an

To celebrate a milestone birthday on our last trip to Paris, we decided it was time to see the Ritz during the daylight hours!  So, after getting all of our steps in while on a private group tour of the Le Louvre (completely worth the money to see the famous masterpieces and hear a bit of history in a reasonable amount of time) we refueled and relaxed one more time at the Ritz.  Le Grand Brunch is held on Sundays only and is a feast for the eyes and the tastebuds. Not only will you find ridiculously amazing pastries and French delicacies, but you will find some traditional breakfast favorites as well topped off with a glass of the Ritz's own Brut Champagne label. Brunch is held in the beautiful Salon D'Eté and opens on to the garden when the weather provides. Attending brunch at the Ritz as said best on their website is "a weekend rendezvous with a "High Society" spirit", which to me means picking out something fabulous to wear!  This visit gave me a chance to wear a modern Prada dress with a vintage fit-and-flare vibe and bold 60's/70's style floral print.

When one finds themselves in Paris, I highly encourage a visit to the Ritz.  Whether you spend sometime in the historic bars, enjoy a meal, take in the spa and afternoon tea(next trip!), or just wander the first floor halls admiring the floral arrangements, the Ritz is not something to miss.  Put your fancy on and get yourself to Place Vendôme! The history and beauty makes it one of my favorite places to visit on my travels.
